Played briefly. Mostly still trying to get decent framerates. Oblivion's ability to chew up my video card has always amazed me, despite having a relatively decent system.

I dropped the texture packs that I was using and tweaked some of the settings, but it's still not quite where I want it in exterior cells. I think it might be the RAEVWD LOD enhancements I'm using, since I know I didn't use those last time. That's a shame, but if I can't use 'em then I can't use 'em. Tonight I'll try turning them down or off and if that works I might reinstall the texture packs and give that a go.

Got my ass kicked by those bandits right outside of the sewer some more. Decided to kick it in the IC for a while before venturing too far, but didn't play much beyond entering the city.

UPDATE: Turns out the external FPS hit was coming from the distant LOD mod I had running. It's a bit too much for my system at this time. I might try tweaking it later to find a compromise, but right now I'm putting the textures back on and am anxious to start playing for real real.
